Yesterday after a great breakfast at family Björks yellow house, crew change was taking place. Ulrike, Antonio and I left Stora Uttervik's bathing pier shortly before lunch after the security briefing. We sailed in sunshine but with shifting winds for almost 4 hours just off and on needing to motor. We reached Aspöfladen for anchoring towards rocks around 17h. The weather predictions for the night was slightly shifting wind and rain.

Hans-Dieter, crew from first week, and I have had contact over the last week, because he had to cancel his family sailing week with me in 2 weeks. Carmen his wife has injured her foot and is advised to not go sailing with that injury. HD and his daughter therefore would like to cancel the week completely, none of them coming. This threw me completely off course and I don't know how to solve the gap. During our last talk, HD has offered though to either find a replacement or come to sail the...

We had another great day of sailing, even if our harbor maneuver at the end were a bit tiresome. HD has challenged me this week as well as prepared me for the rest of the trip. We sailed almost all the way to the light house of Oja the oldest one in Sweden. But 3 sm off we turned our rute and roles around and headed for Trosa. HD and I have had changing roles. One of us navigates and avoids hitting rocks and the other one stears the boat ideally. The sailing has mostly started around 10 and...

Two days ago I wrote "Ringön again" because I had been here in June 2014 with Martin, Aden and Catherine. Now HD and I ended up the second time here. It is an island that is like a ring around other smaller islands and offers therefore numerous options for anchoring either freely or tied up toward rocks. Since the wind prediction was shifting over night we decided to just do a front swoy anchorage. Right now the boat is turned 180°t where it was yesterday when we went to bed.

Today we had planned to do a shorter day of sailing. Things were interesting going through market passages mostly sailing just with the Genoa and the motor on as a safety net. We needed the motor a few times because the gusts came from a different wind direction and could cause a shift that went against the marked narrow passages. Around 15h the wind shifted and almost died but picked up again after a while. HD and I had agreed to be docked around 16h today. So we looked into 2 options of...

Yesterday the day started with me cleaning our coffee pot and while rinsing it in salt water off the back of the boat suddenly the glass container loosened and I saw it sinking to the bottom, myself still with the handle. So this morning, we had to use the Italian espresso cooker that I brought. Our route was going south west yesterday along the big island Utö at the beginning. I wanted HD to see the oldest lighthouse on Öja so we set out to make a break at the north harbor of Öja mid day....

Yesterday the wind prediction was starting with 5 m/s going up to 8-10 m/s which causes serious waves on open water. HD and I decided to go to Huvudskär south of us and head there over mostly open waters just towards the end go back between the archipelago. So off we went navigating between rocks and small islands towards the open Baltic sea. When we arrived there we had to reef the mainsail and then start surfing waves up to 3 meters high. It was an interesting ride towards the south. HD took...
